Mawoule

                                       Nawoule. Nadebat. Narive.

Kòn vle fè kous lago ak zago

men, se zago k’pot kòn sou do

nan tout chemen lavil, tout santye

                                       tout savann pay madan brino.

Se zago k’pou kanpe sispann fè

lobo sou wòch pasdlo, kite mawoule

mouye biskèt ak yon ti gòje dlo,

pran fòs kontinye mennen tout makòn

vyann depi nan  kòn jouk nan ke al

tande sa kasayòl te di anvan yo fè dlo

kò l benyen kò l. Wout la long. Manfou solèy !

Foure tout platpye nan siwo beton cho chalè

                                       asfalt makadam.Tounen yon mòso pen

tranpe nan lapli. Manje nan plamen.

Akwokiye vlope ak dra fènwa pou dòmi

nan chapo. Louvri je gade jou kap pase,

nuit kap ale vini. Nan pwen tounen. Nadebat.

Nawoule ak tikout tikout tafya plis espwa

tityotyo a. Narive mennen nwa kou al wè

sa kouto konn fè nan kè yanm. Mawoule

konn ki jan pou mennen l wè laba a twa wa .
